In 2002 the Ring*Con opend the doors for the first time! In the beginning Ring*Con was a huge “Lord of the Rings” – Convention. Meanwhile it’s the biggest fantasy convention all over Europe.

Von Freitag bis Sonntag habt ihr die Möglichkeit in eine andere Welt zu tauchen. Ein Wochenende voller Fantasy, farbenfrohen Kostümen und Gleichgesinnten. Natürlich werden zu diesem Event auch Schauspieler aus verschiedenen Fantasyfilmen eingeladen, Vorträge gehalten und Workshops veranstaltet. Ebenso habt ihr die Möglichkeit den Schauspielern während der Panels (Q&A) Fragen zu stellen, oder euch bei der Autogrammstunde ein Autogramm zu holen. Das ist aber noch längst nicht alles, denn die Fans werden bei der RingCon selber aktiv – es gibt einen Kostümwettbewerb, ein Videowettbewerb und allerlei Fanaktion. //

From Friday to Sunday you can plunge into a world full of fantasy and magic. But there is more…. actors, speeches about various themes, and lots of workshops and other stuff you can spend your time with. There are Q&A with all the actors, where fans can ask there favourite actor directly what they want to know and there are autograph and photo lessons, of course.
